Missions Ministry....In Matthew 28:19, Jesus tells us to, “…go and make disciples of all nations…” It is clear that a churches ministry is not to be limited to its own backyard. For that reason, we have a Missions Ministry that helps get us out of the church building and into the world. At LifeStream we support Missions in two ways; we financially support individuals and organizations that are involved in Missions and we engage in hands on projects that require an investment of time, energy and sacrifice. We believe that reaching beyond ourselves is essential to pleasing God and growing in Christ. We currently provide support to the following mission activities.Merendon Mountain MissionToby and Amy Hill are our missionaries in Honduras. They, along with their three children, have been on the field in the Merendon Mountains since 1998. Both Toby and Amy have a deep love for God and the people they serve. While Toby is kept busy teaching God’s Word and training church leaders, Amy uses her nursing skills to minister to those who otherwise might go without medical care. For six days during the summer youth from many different states join together at one of several locations where they help people who need help. Whether it is building a wheelchair ramp, painting a porch, cutting brush or some other project, the work is real and the results are often life changing. Not only do LifeStream youth participate in the Group Work Camp ministry, but for the second consecutive year we will be serving as one of the host churches that, over a seven week period, will welcome and provide lodging for nearly 500 youth and their sponsors.
