Membership with the LifeStream Family..

Membership in the LifeStream Family is both important and easy. There are five considerations.

  • The first has to do with belief. To be a member of LifeStream you must believe in Jesus as the one and only Son of God. You must believe that He came to be our redeemer and that He alone is able to wash away our sin and make us acceptable before God.

  • The second has to do with a decision. To be a member of LifeStream you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and promise before God to live for Him.

  • The third has to do with surrender. To be a member of the LifeStream family you must surrender your life in baptism by immersion in accordance with the Biblical instruction. Baptism identifies us with what happened to Jesus. Through baptism, the “old self” dies and is buried under the water; then, as we are lifted from the water we are resurrected into a new Christ centered life. We believe baptism to be part of the salvation process as described in Acts 2: 36-39.

  • The fourth has to do with motive. To be a member of the LifeStream family you must desire to be an active part of the LifeStream ministry. God calls for us to be connected through fellowship, ministry involvement and financial support. While we receive great individual benefit from being a part of LifeStream it is not really so much about us as it is our Savior and the work that He has called us to do.

  • The fifth has to do with compliance. To be a member of the LifeStream family you must be willing to trust and support the church leadership. Our form of government is dictated by God’s Word and includes an Eldership that God charges with the responsibility of oversight. God calls for family members to follow the Elders’ lead and to make their joy of service a priority.

So how does membership take place? If the five considerations are met, let us know of your desire to join our congregation and we will introduce you to the family. That is all it takes!
