About LifeStream..

Our Church Family

Our desire and continuing effort is to be a safe haven where people learn about Jesus, grow in faith and develop their talents for God. We are a family. We care about each other and work at developing relationships that are strong and God centered. We believe it is only through such relationships that we please God and accomplish the important work He has set before us.

Our Mission

Our mission is to transform lives and families through the saving power and love of Jesus.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide the surrounding community with the kind of visible and powerful evidences of our faith in God and commitment to sharing His love that will draw individuals and families toward a relationship with Jesus and the LifeStream family.

Our Beliefs

We believe the world is forever changing and our methods for reaching people must keep pace with those changes. However, our core beliefs are essential to our faith and who we are in Christ. They are what we believe and will always remain the same.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word given to all who believe in Him and that it is entirely true. We believe the Bible to be the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. II Timothy 3:1

We believe there is only one God: He is the creator of all that exists, and He alone is the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1 and 2) (John 1:1-5)

We believe Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and He is our one and only Savior. We believe He was born of a virgin, and during His life suffered our every temptation, yet was entirely without sin. We believe at the instruction of God and in keeping with God’s plan of redemption that Jesus suffered, was crucified, shed His blood and died for the remission of our sin. We believe He was buried. and three days later God resurrected Him from the grave thus overcoming and defeating death. We believe after appearing to hundreds Jesus ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. We believe He will return to judge the living and the dead. (Matthew 1:18-23) (Rom. 10:13) (Rom. 5:6) (Hebrews 4:15) (Luke 24) (Acts 1:1-11)

We believe in the Holy Spirit of God and the Spirit’s literal indwelling of those who belong to Jesus. We believe the Holy Spirit reminds, instructs and comforts those who yield to His presence. (John 14:26)

We believe all have sinned and salvation from that sin is beyond man’s personal ability. We believe Jesus came to do what we cannot do for ourselves: He paid the penalty for our sin, accomplishing our redemption through the shedding of His blood. We believe God has designed and given us a specific method for receiving His Son’s salvation that includes faith, confession of belief, repentance from sin and baptism by immersion for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit; this all being followed by living a life that is dedicated to following Jesus. (Acts 2: 36-39) (Romans 10:10)

We believe Jesus is the head of the church, that we exist to please Him and to accomplish His plan and work on earth. While we believe in the universal church that includes all who have called upon the name of Jesus, we also believe it is God’s plan that every Christian be an active member of a local congregation. We believe we are to plan and function according to our Lord’s nature and authority; that we are at all times to demonstrate His love, gentleness, compassion and urgency for reaching the lost. We believe God has given us teachers and preachers to instruct us, Elders to protect and lead us, Deacons to care for us and and that we are to bring joy and honor to those who serve us. We believe every believer is to be actively involved in contributing through life and recourse to the work of God. (Ephesians 1:10 and Ephesians 1:22)
